About 29 Acres

29 Acres was founded by a group of families in North Texas who shared a similar need: finding quality support services and safe/independent housing for their young adults with autism and neurodiversity as they age out of the school systems and enter adulthood

Our Mission

To ensure that people living with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities have community and a safe place to live where opportunity and happiness are the standard.

Our Vision

29 Acres uses an evidence-based approach in housing design and individualized supports that ensure meaningful growth in employment, independence, and health & wellness while creating culture and a deep sense of belonging.

“Even in the midst of COVID, 29 Acres secured a job for our son, Adam, as a courtesy clerk at Kroger. He has truly blossomed. The employment team understands Adam’s unique strengths and needs, and their support has made all the difference. I strongly encourage parents to give their children the opportunity to work alongside typical peers. The growth you’ll see is beyond what you can imagine.”

"The 29 Acres Enrich program has been wonderful for our son Jacob. We have seen an increase in Jacob’s overall engagement, eye contact, and tolerance of things that used to bother him. He’s more settled and content. The 29 Acres team has had a big impact on him! Awesome!"

"Since joining 29 Acres, Jared  speaks up when talking to waiters and cashiers, communicates clearly so others can hear him, and is more helpful at home. The skills he’s learning at 29 Acres are giving him the confidence and the life skills he needs to thrive as an independent adult."
