To elevate the quality of life for adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by creating a dynamic housing community enriched with customized programming where every person will be empowered to live with purpose and joy.

29 Acres is an innovative supported living community for adults with ASD and other neuro-diversities designed to elevate quality of life by creating an environment that results in greater joy, self-fulfillment, and independence.

Located in Cross Roads, TX, just 30 minutes north of Dallas, the property is comprised of 29 acres of gently-rolling, heavily-wooded terrain with numerous meadows and fields. We are close to two major lakes that will be used in our therapeutic recreation program and minutes away from over 100 miles of walking and biking trails at two large state parks. We are also within minutes of two major universities and several major cities in north Dallas, allowing a clear path for our residents to be connected to their local communities.

29 Acres will offer evidence based and customized programming for each resident to ensure tangible growth in the areas of career readiness/employment and independent living, while prioritizing relationship building, and good health and emotional well-being. While 29 Acres programming (Enrich29) will be available to all individuals living with us, residents will be encouraged to use the service provider of their choice.

As part of our commitment to continuously improve programming, we will hold ourselves accountable to outcomes, including quality of life indicators.

By partnering with local and regional universities and organizations, 29 Acres will serve as a training site for service providers and help to advance best practices in adult autism services. We will look for partners and research opportunities that help to advance best practices.

Our living community will be built for safety and security by connecting smart phones with smart homes through state of the art technology.

The homes at 29 Acres can be a first home or permanent home depending on our residents’ needs and their preferences for living.

29 Acres will provide adults with ASD access to the people, places, jobs and activities that they choose and that maximize self-esteem and the pursuit of happiness.

29 Acres will help our adults identify their strengths and challenge them to develop those strengths.

29 Acres will improve outcomes as measured by quality of life indicators such as joy and self-fulfillment, greater independence and productivity, health and safety, community engagement and inter-personal relationships.

29 Acres will be sustainable over time and replicable as a model for other geographies.

29 Acres will maintain a nurturing environment that remains committed to the individual growth of each adult.

29 Acres will help build a more neuro-diverse community by deeply connecting to our local communities’ social, economic and educational ecosystems, and will enable collective progress for all stakeholders by working together.

29 Acres will create a culture of empowerment for paid and volunteer staff by improving training and educational opportunities coupled with appropriate compensation and desirable work conditions. We want our staff to have an occupassion, not just an occupation.

29 Acres will serve families of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
