“Even in the midst of COVID, 29 Acres secured a job for our son, Adam, as a courtesy clerk at Kroger. He has truly blossomed. The employment team understands Adam’s unique strengths and needs, and their support has made all the difference. I strongly encourage parents to give their children the opportunity to work alongside typical peers. The growth you’ll see is beyond what you can imagine.”

Common Questions

Do you have to be part of 29 Acres programs to use employment services?

No. Employment services are available to anyone with a disability 16+. You can choose to private pay or access our services through your Vocational Counselor or other funding sources.

How do I know if 29 Acres is the right provider?

Schedule a free consultation with our Director of Vocational Services via the employment inquiry form to discuss the type of support you need.

Do you provide transportation to interviews or jobs?

No. Individuals must have reliable transportation to and from interviews and jobs. Our Director can provide information on local public transit options in your area.

Do you have partnerships with employers who will hire someone without an interview?

We partner with a variety of employers, but these relationships do not guarantee job offers. Our priority is finding individualized employment opportunities that align with each client’s strengths, interests, and support needs. Our employer partners work closely with us to create inclusive and accommodating environments. While there is still a hiring process, it is often adapted (such as through working interviews or customized job trials) to allow clients to demonstrate their skills in a way that feels supportive and meaningful.
